Sága Foods Zrt. Member of the Master Good Kft. company group since January 2020. Thanks to the parent company, the chicken meat we use comes from animals fed with feed, that can be used in GMO-free production. What does this mean exactly?
FROM GMO-FREE PRODUCTION:
Meat from animals fed with feed, that can be used in GMO-free production.
HUNGARIAN CHICKEN:
The chicken, which provides the raw material for our products, is grown entirely in Hungary, in facilities operated by the company group:
- 100% Hungarian eggs
- 100% Hungarian hatching
- 100% Hungarian chicken growing
- 100% Hungarian chicken processing
HUNGARIAN GRAIN:
The feed used in growing contains only grains grown in Hungary.
GROWING IN NATURAL LIGHT:
Buildings used for growing have windows, the surface of which covers at least 5% of the building’s floor area. The windows are evenly distributed on the side walls, so ensuring the penetration of natural sunlight throughout the growing period.
ANIMAL WELFARE IN THE LIMELIGHT:
Our sheds are equipped with accessories that enrich the environment of the chickens, that can be found in their natural living area, this way we increase their comfort. These accessories are the following:
- roosting bars: 2 meters / 1000 birds
- picking point: 1 pc / 1000 birds
- roosting bags (bags filled with bedding): 1.5 pc / 1000 birds
CONTROLLED PRODUCTION:
During the growing, the company group’s livestock specialists and vets regularly visit the farms and monitor them. The company group’s own quality assurance team, as well as independent certification bodies also regularly visit and the inspect the farms.
ROTATING FARMING:
The raw material of the pelletized straw, that is used as begging, is bought from those farmers, who are providing the wheat for our feed. The manure for chicken farming is transported to the group’s own fermentation plant, where it processed and sold to the local farmers as soil conditioner.
